*When you call these resources remember to ask the following questions: *

A. Ask for a 15 – 30 minute free consultation

B. Ask about payment options (e.g., if covered by extended health care or
if they offer a sliding scale)

C. During the consult, describe to them the nature of your concerns (eg.,
symptoms, triggers, how long you’ve been experiencing your problems, how
you have tried to address your problems, etc.)

D. Find the practitioner who specializes in your difficulties, matches your
personality, and you think you’d work well with. Every practitioner has a
different style of therapy: Some are more emotion focused, while others are
more cognitively oriented.
